On 20 April 2026, Directorate of Research, Development and Innovation (RDI), convened a joint meeting of the RDI Committee and Sub-Committee to discuss preparations for the RDI Workshop 2026. The meeting brought together faculty members, research coordinators, and administrative representatives from across the University.
The session focused on reviewing the objectives of the upcoming workshop, including policy updates, research proposal development, and plans for an innovation exhibition and competition. The existing RDI policies and guidelines were presented, and participants were requested to review them for further refinement.
Participants were encouraged to identify potential experts to support capacity-building initiatives in research proposal development. In addition, preliminary ideas on the format and structure of an innovation exhibition, involving all seven schools of the University, were explored.
Logistical aspects of the workshop, including budget, quotations, and scheduling, were also discussed. No additional matters were raised during the meeting.
